Toan Dang

PhD Student

Toan is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Connecticut. He received his Pharmacy degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and his Master’s degree in Pharmacy from Keimyung University in South Korea before moving to the United States. Toan’s research focuses on developing nanoparticle-based immunoengineering approaches for cancer immunotherapy. In Dr. Yupeng Chen’s lab, he is working on engineering JBNt matrices for long-lasting mRNA delivery to tumors. He is also involved in other collaborative projects, including research on osteoarthritis. Outside of the lab, Toan enjoys cooking (though he’s not really good at it) and traveling with his family.
