Sydney is from Somers, Connecticut, and is a senior Biomedical Engineering student at UConn concentrating in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering. Outside of the lab, she is Vice President of the Health Care Engineering Club and loves to bake, hike, and travel. In the lab, she learns lab techniques by working under Dr. Chen and assisting a graduate student with various procedures regarding their research. She is extremely interested in studying the use of biomaterials for drug delivery and gene therapy and plans on eventually earning her Ph.D. in this field.
